Revolutionary Beginnings in South Carolina: Francis Marion and the Snow’s Island Community

Join the American Revolution Institute of the Society of the Cincinnati, the Kershaw County 250th Committee, Historic Camden Foundation, and the City of Camden for a special reception and presentation. Following a meet-and-greet reception in McCaa’s Tavern at Historic Camden Foundation, Dr. Steve Smith will present a program on Francis Marion and the Snow’s Island Community in Liberty Hall at the Revolutionary War Visitor Center. Dr. Smith, recently retired from he South Carolina Institute of Anthropology and Archaeology, has published extensively on the life of General Francis Marion and the Snow’s Island area.

Registration for in-person and virtual attendance is free but required as seating is limited.
